Duration: Two days / One Weekend

Initiation to sailing theory and sailing practice, learning about the boat and its components, from structure to sailplan. How to safely move on board and use its equipment. Introduction to points of sail: close-hauled, beam reach and broad reach. Manoeuvres such as tacking and gybing, and sail trim. During this course students have the opportunity to try to helm the boat and participate in different roles during the exercises.
The course is comprised of daysails, with overnights on board (usually in port) only during some weekend courses. Classes are usually from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
